OCEANIS YACHT 54
Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento are the two architects behind the easy movement and manoeuvres under sail of this stunning craft of over 17 metres long, featuring top quality trims. The Oceanis Yacht 54 paves the way for a new generation of cruisers with an optimized cockpit and Easy Sailing navigational aids. This new cruiser can easily be handled short-handed and remains true to the Oceanis signature features in its design and comfort on board, with an additional focus on the materials used, making her a cruising yacht through and through.
With a straight stem offering new volume at the bow and the max beam (5 metres) further aft, the Oceanis Yacht 54 boasts a modern, perfectly balanced hull that aims to make sailing as much fun as possible. Emphasis has been placed on circulation on deck and especially around the cockpit, to ensure nothing can hinder the crews’ movements. We clearly see a development of the traditional central cockpit on the Oceanis Yacht 54, as this retains the benefits of easy movement and safety and innovates by providing flush circulation. The ergonomics of the coaming and the good bulwark height provides maximum safety and considerable comfort of use on the ocean. Your path is intuitive from the top of the companionway and its sunbathing area, between the two cockpit tables and the two steering wheels, each with a comfortable seat, to the transom. Access to the sea is provided by the extensive swim platform, providing space below the cockpit to stow away a 2.4 m inflatable tender. The Oceanis Yacht 54, is available with two different draughts (2.5 m as standard, 1.95 m on option) and two types of masts (standard or in-furling).
Lorenzo Argento’s watchword in designing this cruiser was to create a warm modern atmosphere with as much natural light as possible and excellent ventilation. The Oceanis Yacht 54’s interior layout offers a chart table and large saloon table seating six people easily. It is bathed in the light from the many portholes and deck hatches and the owner will be able to choose between a light oak or walnut ambiance. Two versions are available: three cabins and two shower rooms, or three cabins and three shower rooms with an extra-large forward master cabin, with an island double bed (1.6 m wide).

Safe and Easy Sailing
To make harbour manoeuvres, changes of tack and points of sailing simpler, BENETEAU has equipped the Oceanis Yacht 54 with invaluable navigational aids. Ship Control is installed as standard. It provides user-friendly intuitive control of all the boat data (batteries, tanks, engines, lighting, etc.) The Dock & Go technique, which has been well tested, is also available to facilitate engine-powered manoeuvres in a limited space, using a standard joystick control together with a bow drive and a 360° rotating saildrive pod. The Harken AST (assisted sail trim) system trims the sails automatically in line with the apparent wind and trims the jib when you need to change tack. The AST system is controlled from a display in the cockpit. Short-handed sailing is an inherent part of the cruiser’s programme.
Great Ease of Movement
The flush cockpit, makes movement aft of the helm stations, to the gangways or to the companionway, easy and obstacle-free. A wonderful development of the traditional central cockpit, this extensive space makes it easy to move to the large swim platform safely and confidently. Cruising really comes into its own on the Oceanis Yacht 54, with all the manoeuvres brought aft of the cockpit, leaving space for relaxation and admiring the view from the twin helm station to the bow. The sun pad on the fore deck is likely to be the most popular spot.
